Springs of the High Plateau
From the baths that named Aguascalientes to the park at Villa de Reyes, by way of the hot spring in Zacatecas. All of it on pavement.
Road line from OpenStreetMap data.
These are faults of the high plateau, not a volcano on the horizon. The first spring is inside Aguascalientes, with a hotel. The second is in the town of Ojocaliente, Zacatecas, and the bed is in town, not at the baths. Villa de Reyes closes the route: first the Salitre spring, then Gogorrón, which does have a hotel.
- Ojo Caliente in Zacatecas and Salitre have no hotel of their own. Sleep in Aguascalientes and at Gogorrón.
- Ojo Caliente Zacatecas to Termas del Salitre is 3 h 15 min of driving. Better to end the day before you set off.
